NCU Indonesian Alumni Club

We are pleased to announce the NCU Alumni Ambassador Indonesia Competition 2026, a multimedia competition open to all NCU alumni from Indonesia, regardless of their current place of residence.
OFFICIAL COMPETITION REGULATIONS:
§1. General Provisions
1. The competition is organized by Nicolaus Copernicus University (NCU) in Toruń
in cooperation with the NCU Indonesian Alumni Club.
2. The objective of the competition is to:
• promote UMK internationally,
• strengthen relationships with alumni,
• showcase career paths of UMK graduates in Indonesia.
§2. Eligibility
1. The competition is open to:
o Indonesian graduates of Nicolaus Copernicus University (including Collegium Medicum), regardless of their current place of residence.
2. Employees of NCU are not eligible to participate.
§3. Competition Theme
1. The theme of the competition task is “Life of a NCU Graduate” and relates to the life
of the author of the submitted material.
2. Participants are invited to present:
• their professional journey,
• the role of NCU in their development,
• their current work and impact in Indonesia,
• impact on their professional or academic relationships,
• influence of NCU experience on life goals and plans.
§4. Submission Format
Accepted formats:
1) video (up to 3 minutes),
2) photo digital storytelling project (up to 12 photos).
3) Language: English.
4) Submission must include:
a) file,
b) short written description,
c) consent for use and publication.
5) Applications must be submitted via the official online form provided by the Organizer.
6) Participants are required to upload their work to an NCU platform (Pionier Box) using the provided password: NCU2026_Indonesia.
7) Participants who register for the competition will receive a link to the NCU platform (Pionier Box) to upload the files containing their competition entry.
8) Files should be titled as such: [name, surname], in case there is more than one file title should be as such: [name, surname, file number].
9) Each participant can submit at most two works, regardless of format.
10) Submissions are open until 20 September 2026.
11) The Organizer reserves the right to request a direct copy of the file if necessary.
§5. Evaluation Criteria
Entries will be evaluated based on:
• Promotional value for UMK (0–40 points)
• Creativity and quality (0–25 points)
• Demonstration of UMK’s impact (0–20 points)
• Authenticity and storytelling (0–15 points)
§6. Awards
1. Competition results will be announced before 10 November 2026 in the email to the participants, on the following website: https://absolwent.umk.pl/en/club-id/ and on social media.
2. First Prize:
• title: “NCU Ambassador Indonesia 2027” (competition distinction title),
• handheld gimbal camera DJI Osmo Pocket 3 Standard Combo (or similar),
• participation in annual University Day on 19 February 2027.
3. Additional distinctions:
• honorary mentions,
• publication and promotion of winning works.
4. The winner is required to support and uphold the positive image of UMK on social media and among other alumni and prospective students in consultation with the competition organizers.
§7. Jury
The Jury shall consist of representatives of:
• NCU authorities,
• NCU Alumni Office,
• NCU Department of International Partnerships and Educational Mobility,
• invited expert (e.g. media/communication specialist).
§8. Final Provisions
1. Participant must be the sole author of submitted work.
2. Submissions that use AI technology will not be accepted.
3. By submitting, participants grant permission for promotional use of their work.
4. Participants must sign two consent forms included in the official submission form (see §4.4.c).

The camera prize is funded by the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship (Marshal's Office in Toruń).
